Trash-can

  1. I really like this idea in terms of functionality, the fact that its serves as more then just a trash can and is can serve as a table and/or seat, creates more appeal as a piece of furniture. The aspect of wheels on the bottom of it making it mobile is a great idea and in co operates the modern theory or moblie/ movement in furniture. You have done some great indepth research into the materials used this was an interesting learning curve for most of us present durning your crit.
Overall an impressive indepth and well carried design.
    well done Scotty

    - 3D scanned crushed-up paper and simplified into geometrical forms and facts.
    - The device randomizes ideas/junks which could become useful lateron.
    - Allowing random access and keeping the strangeness.
    - The supporting structure emphasized on gravity, force.
    - The exterior material absorbs energy and creates an abstract shadow.
-investigations on human behaviours in relation to material selections.
    - interesting effect on the reduction of forms and adding a layer of complexity during developments.

  3. I quite like the gradual develoment from your 3D scan, it clearly shows where the form was originated.
The inner structure created a sense of force that made the whole trashcan "stronger" and also more flexible as intended.
Indepth thinking and research on materials and how it adds strength to the design.
Well organized presentation, clear layout and comprehensive drawings =]
